Oconto County Transportation

A variety of transportation options are available for those in need. Explore the various options below, and click the blue link text to visit the websites for more more specifics.

• MTM: If you are on Medicaid or BadgerCare Plus and need non-emergency medical transportation, contact MTM Inc. toll-free at 1-866-907-1493. Rides must be scheduled at least two days prior to an appointment and up to one month in advance.

• Volunteer Escort Program: Transportation may be provided to scheduled medical appointments. This service is available to adults 55 and over and handicapped residents with no other means of transportation. Volunteers use their personal vehicles to transport. A wheelchair-accessible bus is available. A three-day notice is requested and service is provided on a first call, first serve basis.  Donations of 30 cents per mile are requested. Your driver will provide a statement showing the mileage at the end of your trip. To schedule transportation, please call 920-834-7707 or toll-free 1-800-649-6568.

• Bus Routes: Transportation to the nearest Nutrition Center, shopping or medical facility is available to older adults (55 and over) and disabled residents. A vehicle, owned by the Commission on Aging and equipped with a wheelchair lift, provides scheduled door to door service throughout the county. A $2 donation is requested in the Mountain/Lakewood area and a $1 donation is requested for rides in Oconto and Oconto Falls. • Oconto County Veteran’s Service Office: The Veteran’s Service Office will assist veterans in transportation to medical appointments. To find out more, contact the Oconto County Veteran’s Service Office at 920-834-6817.

• Koeppen’s Medical Transportation: Koeppen’s is a transportation service for the elderly and people with disabilities who cannot utilize conventional means of public and private transportation to get to and from medical appointments. To schedule a ride, call toll-free at 1-800-622-5711.
